So what are the best SEO tools for auditing a website?
So hands down the best one without a doubt
is Screaming Frog SEO Spider.
It's the one I've been using for the last decade or so
and it's hands down the best
if you're trying to crawl a website
and to do technical SEO.
It's pretty hard to beat
because you can integrate all the APIs,
Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs,
you can even integrate OpenAI and other AI platforms
into Screaming Frog.
So it's pretty hard to beat
and they've maintained the same user interface
over the years, which is what I love.
I love how it's raw
and it lets you come to your own conclusions.
There's no fancy UI, let's just say that much, okay?
And I actually like that.
But it's not the only auditing tool that you should use.
You also need to audit on a page-by-page basis
to ultimately measure relevance
and it's not particularly good at that.
What it's good at is really
for broader technical SEO initiatives
but if you need to audit your content relevance
and your content quality,
you should probably use a tool like RankAbility
because RankAbility is gonna be able to go page-by-page
and tell you how relevant each of your pages is
compared to the top competitors.
So you need to have an auditing tool
specifically for the technical side
but you also need to have an auditing tool
specifically for the content side.
And then on top of it,
you also need to probably use a tool like Ahrefs or SEMrush
to audit the backlink profile as well.
So you really need three to kinda hit on those core areas.
So technical is gonna be Screaming Frog,
content is gonna be RankAbility
and then the backlink profile
is gonna be Ahrefs or SEMrush.
